[LFG][Chasing Adventure][PBP] Lady Lyudmila Must be Found
The lonely city of Sosnovka, nestled near the northern border of the frigid nation of Volgavia, did not often receive guests. The roads were too dangerous, and the reasons to head north too few, which ensured the rare guest they did receive came half-frozen, destitute, and almost certainly running from something they were willing to risk it all to leave behind.
Yet, today was intended to be an exception to the rule - the Lady Lyudmila, seventh daughter of the residing Matriarch of one of Volgavia's sorcerous bloodlines, was set to arrive within the town's palisade walls. Yet, as fate would have it, she will never arrive.
Sosnovka is a small, rural town that knows well the dangers of meddling where they don't belong. The sorcerous houses, seen as a necessary evil at best, and a heretical danger at worst, hold little support in lands like these, far away from the crown's authority. The Baron of Sosnovka will spare no man to look for the missing Sorceress, but perhaps some lone individual will challenge the odds and leave the relative comfort of their frozen abode...
Be it for justice, the wealth of a reward, or the otherworldly knowledge the Lady might possess, one thing remains certain: Lady Lyudmila must be found.
Hello there! Aiming to try running something play-by-post, as I'm missing the opportunity to write collaboratively in prose this past while! I'm thinking of trying the system Chasing Adventure, which is an updated take Dungeon World that cleans up some of Dungeon World's clunkier mechanics. In short, powered by the apocalypse, rules light and narritive first storytelling with a traditional sword and sorcery high fantasy setting.
Intending this to be a short story - if it were played traditionally, probably equivalent to a longer one or two-shot adventure, but given the medium and that I'm a generally busy person, could well take weeks or months to play through - but I'm not aiming for a massively scoped epic that will never finish.
Your character should be someone from this northern-Russian analogue village, who feels the need to, for whatever reason, venture off to find and save the Sorceress. The local country is primarily human, but most traditional fantasy races are fair game for your player character, albeit with varying degrees of distrust from the locals. I'm mostly thinking one-on-one for this story, to prevent the pace from dragging toooo much.
It's hard to say how much sexual content this story is likely to have - to some degree, this could be heavily skewed one way or another by how much the player character is proactively pursuing it, as well as how sexually open my player's tastes are - the more you're into, the more scenes could naturally have an erotic aspect. That said, I wouldn't recommend this prompt for someone who was looking for a hentai-esque romp - sex is an active part of this world, and likely the story, but I wouldn't call it the focus.
