Segment ring enthusiasts
Just in case you were unaware (because I definitely had no clue), you need ring-opening pliers to equip/unequip the segment rings. The pliers on the left are rated for anything up to 4g. The pliers on the right are what it takes to open the rings up to 2g.
I was not expecting such a dramatic difference in these tools, and at first thought it was a shipping mistake when I bought the bigger ones. I haven't come across any pliers rated for above-2g, but I can only imagine that they look like the Jaws Of Life
The other pics are me rocking the 4g 3/4"ID steel segment ring, and trying to hang some extra weight to prep for the 2g stretch.
