Never thought this would dawn on me

I am 46M and I have a successful career. I've been financially successful and am thinking about enjoying life. I have a family but now my kids are grown and my spouse is pursuing a new-found career of her own. I have always tried to spend time prioritizing my family but -- to be honest -- I also have been pretty committed to my career. I worry I missed out on the best years for personal fulfilment because I was working hard. Now that I have achieved career success I am realizing that I don't have much going on in my personal life. My wife is so focused on her new job there is little time for our relationship. She's focused in work and I get it-- I was there too. I miss the excitement and fun of new relationships and spending time with someone personally interested in me. I now have the ability to afford luxury, travel etc. But I am kind of alone. I sort of get how people end up in mid life crisis. Does this happen to other people?
