Hard vein? On penis since a few days

Hi, since a few days I have noticed a hardened vein? I think? On the right side of my penis. It’s noticeable when soft and definitely gets harder when I get hard, so I think it’s a vein. It wasn’t there before, so any idea what it is, what could have caused it, and what to do. Is this one of these things that just go away by itself? Thanks.
