[F4M] The new Court Sorceress
The capital had spent weeks preparing for her arrival.
Banners hung from every tower, musicians filled the streets with song, and nobles crowded the palace balconies hoping to catch a glimpse of the kingdom’s new court sorceress. Rumors had traveled faster than any messenger: she was impossibly youthful despite her age, dangerously powerful, and chosen personally by the late Archmage before his death.
No one knew what to expect.
The palace gates opened just before sunset.
A black carriage rolled into the courtyard, escorted by soldiers.
When the carriage door opened, a woman stepped out. She looked younger than most had imagined, perhaps only a few years older than the King himself. But there was something unsettling in the calm confidence of her gaze.
Servants bowed nervously as she passed by.
Inside the throne hall, the King waited with his advisers gathered beside him. Some watched with curiosity. Others with open suspicion.
The sorceress stopped before the throne and offered a graceful bow.
