Before the rest of the post, here's the new community; r/MVAfterHours

I’ve created a new Maldives-based anonymous community after the previous one (Dhivehi Desires) got banned for obvious reasons, for anyone who was active there 😭

The goal with this new space is to rebuild it properly, with clear rules, active moderation, and a focus on keeping things respectful and safe for everyone to participate in.

I've already set up some rules so feel free to go through that. For now, I've set the community as public so anyone can comment and post BUT, note that I will be restricting based on how it goes for the first few weeks. I trust everyone will follow basic decency. Don't be too alarmed by the amount of rules, you can share any kink as long as you're respectful and aware that this is a shared community. I won't be moderating kinks (don't misuse this 💀)

Summary of what I’ve already set up:

* Clear rules focused on consent, privacy, and no harassment

* Strict ban on leaks or posting real people without permission

* Post and comment flairs to keep things structured and interactive

* Early moderation guidelines to prevent the issues that killed the previous sub

Why I made it:

A lot of people didn’t really feel comfortable participating publicly in the old space, even if they were present in the community. The aim here is to change that by making it more open and safe, not just reactive moderation after problems happen. On that note, I will give users a chance to appeal before permanent ban IF it wasn't a clear and deliberate post/comment against the rules.

If you’re interested, feel free to check it out or leave feedback, especially on whether the rules and structure feel balanced. I'd appreciate suggestions too since this is just the initial setup

Oh and, I'll get to designing a cover page and profile too so, will get there eventually.

Since Dhivehi Desires got banned for being unmoderated, I'm thinking about creating a new Maldivian based adult subreddit, but very different from the old one.

One of the biggest problems with the previous sub was that it never felt safe or respectful, especially for women.

There were:

-leaked/private content posts

-random real people being sexualized

-“gooning” posts about locals

-harassment and zero moderation

A lot of people probably had things they genuinely wanted to talk about, but the atmosphere made it uncomfortable to participate publicly.

It’s like joining a book club hoping for interesting discussions, only to find half the room yelling 'show feet' every five minutes 💀💀 Eventually, everyone else stops talking and either leave or stay silent. We kinda just here to sift through the chaos to see if anyone catches our attention 😭

That’s basically what happened.

The loudest people ended up defining the community, while everyone else, especially women, mostly stayed in DMs or avoided interacting publicly altogether.

On that note, I know there were way more women in that community than people realized. They just rarely commented publicly because of the environment. Even in the new community, I'm sure only a few would know about it, and the rest would be left questioning if there are women on there at all 🤣

So the goal of this new subreddit would be:

-anonymous confessions

-dating/hookup discussions (might make a format for people to follow so it can be interesting instead of the M(age) looking for F posts)

-flirting stories

-Relatonship talk (wild concept considering old sub, but I want to make it work, considering some experiences I've had)

-adult humor/memes?

-respectful NSFW discussions

But with strict rules against:

-leaked content (zero tolerance for this, btw)

-posting real people without consent (no irl gooning posts)

-harassment

-targeting or humiliating individuals

-just generally being a creep (broad term but, I won't be biased)

The idea is to build a community people can actually participate in instead of just lurk in silence. And I'm also generally open to kinks, being an open minded guy. And there were the occassional interesting posts on there so, I'm looking forward to this too.

Before I spend time creating/moderating it, I wanted to see if people would support the idea, which is why I added the poll. I might repost this again before I go through with it 🤔

In a small community like this, voyeurism hits different. I get the curiosity, seeing someone you might actually know in a vulnerable situation can feel “exciting”. But at the same time it's harmful af. Those are real people. Real lives. And you’re actively contributing to damaging that via images/videos that were gotten through unethical means.

Leaked content isn’t entertainment, it’s a violation. Whether it’s revenge porn, exposing, or just passing it around for clout, you’re crossing a line, and it's shitty af. "Ey bro kae athuga ebahuritha \[name\] ge nudes". Nah my guy, go out there talk to a woman, get something exclusive to you and protect the trust she had in sending you those.

It's fine to have a sex life. Explore your kinks. But this toxic trash culture of sharing nudes needs to stop 💀

Keep your private life private. Respect other people’s right to theirs. Do whatever you want with explicit consent. It's really not that hard
