A potion shop? In this economy?

Being a business owner certainly wasn’t all it was built up to be, the rose tint wearing off the same moment she managed to finally fully dust off the place. Inheriting the business from an old family friend meant that it wasn’t something she could just walk away from, but it also came with a few advantages. Mainly, even in her retirement, the previous owner did leave a smattering of instructions on how to actually run the place. However, a few things were still missing- or just…off?

Seriously. What was the difference between holstaur milk, and holstaur cream? How do you bottle a ‘kiss of the fey’? Why did so many flasks have hearts etched into them?

More, quite a few signs advertised ‘free samples’ or even ‘ask me to demonstrate’! How was that good for business?

Potions as merchandise certainly wasn’t anything new, but nearly everything seemed to be an aphrodisiac of some sort, or at the very least listed it as a side effect. And, despite the rather quaint nature of the shop, it had no less than a dozen shelves all stocked to the brim with the things. Grabbing ones off the top shelf would be a pain if not for a few handy spells (and a perfectly fine ladder), but she was hardly a witch. Being handy with magic was one thing, devoting your whole life to learning it was another. Still, she was more than proficient, and continuing to learn, but most of her clients would be much more knowledgeable.

After the lengthy dance of tidying up the place, she slunk behind the counter, opening a comically oversized leather bound ledger with a rumbling thud. It was already scribed out into columns to keep track of sales, listing the main items in categories with a handful standing out: cures, accelerants and then…transformations, aphrodisiacs, fertility. Fifty or so ‘regulars’ were listed on the opposite page with a few recognizable names from around town and beyond. A handful were circled in bright red ink with unmissable hearts next to them. Finally, a rather large keg with a spout rested behind the counter, labeled ‘potion of cleansing’.

As she glanced around again, the distinct feeling of biting off more than she could chew settled in- but not quite enough to get cold feet. The bustling world of the academy was something she purposefully drifted away from, and spending her mid-twenties in the countryside felt far more agreeable, even if she was out of her depth.

Snapping her fingers, the sign on the glass storefront flipped to read ‘Open!’, and she settled behind the counter. She had potions to sell, and plenty of them.

Her hands clenched with white knuckles around the edge of the wooden countertop, trying in vain to stop the rocking of her hips against its firm surface. Her lips were parted, breathing heavily in a ceaseless rhythm. Worse, her dress was halfway to tatters, and she was still too warm. Half a dozen empty vials and bottles were strewn out next to her, eyes beginning to wander to the keg. As her hand went out to reach for it, the bell rang, door being swung wide open.

Just before closing…

She straightened herself, her new stature casting a larger shadow across the floor, unable to hide pointed bovine horns, even with a makeshift witch’s hat.

“Hello! How can I help you?”

~

Another somewhat vague prompt here, but I really can’t resist the open ended nature! The rather brief overview is a shopkeeper who’s in a bit over her head, and might have to resort to taking her own potions just to keep up with demand!

So! I’ll be writing the newly crowned shop owner, who’s just a little unprepared for running an establishment with these peculiarities- and your character is…well, up to you! Don’t fret, I do have some ideas, but I’m more than happy to hear what you have in mind if none of these pique your interest.

~ A well established, well known, well meaning witch! Well meaning may be a bit of a stretch, probably. You’ll have deadlines to meet, and experiments to run! So, being a respected regular of the local potion stop should afford a few liberties, including but not limited to convincing the shopkeep to help produce any missing ingredients. It could go the other way, too! Perhaps she’s a little more sympathetic to the brand new business owner, more than happy to help!

~ Or, maybe the original owner hasn’t completely retired just yet? She’d want the store to succeed after all, and lessening some of the mysteries buried away would go a long way! After all, if transformations really are required to extract the right ingredients, having a helping hand definitely wouldn’t hurt. Alternatively, this could be an assistant still working at the shop!

~ Finally, it could be a random, rotating arrangement of characters. Their motivations and shopping list are totally up to you! Catering to each customer’s needs would surely have a way of piling up over the day, and hiding horns or more would become impossible (or unlikely) at some point!

As for my specific interests, I’ve listed them below:

Major kinks: monstergirls, light transformation, romance, affection, kissing, praise, size difference, magic, wardrobe control, futanari, breeding, milking, handholding (gasp!).

Others: aphrodisiacs, age gap, lactation, pheromones (only pleasant scents), toys, pinned down/held, oral, dirty talk, anthros (not usually into ‘furred’ all over, but it can be discussed), and much more I’m forgetting!

Hard Limits: The usual, abuse, bathroom stuff, underage, filth, excessive hyper, brutality, etc. Please tell me your favorite movie to let me know you read this far!

I’m generally concerned more with quality than quantity for writing, but I tend to hover around 2-4 paragraphs. One liners won’t get anyone very far, and lower effort messages make it hard to continue.

This will be a medium to longer term scene, but please understand that life can get in the way. Once we start talking I’ll do my best to let you know when those moments are.

In your opening message, please introduce yourself! Name, what character you’d like to play, what age, and what interests you would want to include are all relevant! And, please bring some ideas to the table- what you like about the scene, what you didn’t, and any new items you’d like to add.

I hope to hear from you!
