So I’ve been going down a random late-night rabbit hole and now I need answers from people who actually know the industry…

Who makes more money: male strippers or female strippers?

At first I assumed it was female strippers, just based on demand and how normalized female strip clubs are. But then I started thinking about things like bachelorette parties, private bookings, niche markets, etc., and now I’m not so sure.

From what I’ve gathered so far (correct me if I’m wrong):

• Female strippers seem to have more consistent club income (regular shifts, higher volume of customers, tips stacking up nightly)
• Male strippers might make serious money from private gigs (bachelorettes, events, touring shows)
• The audience dynamic is totally different — guys tend to spend more frequently, women tend to spend more per event

But I feel like I’m missing the real picture. Like:

• Who actually takes home more after fees, house cuts, etc.?
• Is one side way more inconsistent than the other?
• Does location matter a ton (Vegas vs small cities)?
• And what about top earners — is the ceiling higher for one?

If you’ve worked in the industry (or know someone who has), I’d love to hear the reality vs assumptions 👀

No judgment here, just genuinely curious how it shakes out financially.
