a seat at the table perhaps
every once in a while you meet someone that makes you fall in love with this lifestyle again not because of the gifts or the dinners or the hotels with impossibly soft sheets but because they understand the choreography of it all the quiet etiquette the art of conversation the knowingness it reminds me a little of chocolate cake everyone likes the idea of it but very few people know how to make one properly the balance matters too sweet and it’s unbearable too little effort and it falls flat entirely the best ones are layered patient deliberate i’m looking for exactly that someone who understands the intricacies someone who knows that charm without discretion is just noise and generosity without taste is forgettable someone who knows how to approach conversations and more importantly how to sustain them the kind of person that makes this world feel less transactional and a little more ….cinematic(?)
