In keeping up with the gemstone and opposites thene - Introducing Sapphire, the second original character I’ve designed. She’s Ruby’s cousin, and while the family insists she’s the model of good behavior, the reality is very different.

Sapphire is the one who drags everyone into trouble with a smile, the unapologetic party instigator who finally convinced Ruby to stop resisting and embrace the chaos. If you can’t beat them, join them — and Sapphire makes that decision far too easy.

I’ve just finished her new character art and would love to hear your thoughts on how her personality comes through in the design.

I’ve been really digging the look of high quality vector art (not the silly stock stuff but like real vector illustrations) and have been trying to develop my own style. What do you guys think? I’m terrible at cloth and clothing so don’t mind the sheets lol
