The Concept of "Project: Mirotic" [Retrospective 2013/2026]
Mirotic (a portmanteau of *Misyery* and *Erotic*) emerged during one of my darkest artistic phases (under many synonyms like Phyrus, Phyrex, Miriam Manson, Nadrioxxia and more...)
Some of you may be familiar with the underlying dynamic: you have just emerged from a traumatic relationship, and—while in isolation—your body and psyche begin to crave validation. This can lead to a distortion of one's self-identity; expectations of real-life individuals dwindle, while the reliance on validation from the online world skyrockets.
In my drawings, I attempt to capture this specific psychological state.
You are also welcome to send me a DM if this topic resonates with you and you would like me to draw you in this style—anonymously, if you prefer, and regardless of your gender or body type. We are all human (except for the AI bots, lol), and I am committed to fostering harmony and respect—especially when it comes to such a sensitive subject.
I hope you enjoy this retrospective of my work; you can find more of it on my DeviantArt channel, where I have also been experimenting with "AI Remaster" in relation to this theme.
Dark greetings from darkphyrex
