You look at yourself in the mirror, hand sliding over the elastic band of your plain white panties, matching with the plain white bra you got from the State Department Store four years ago. For the first time, you put on your government mandated uniform. A pencil skirt, a blazer. Hair, tight up in a bun. Opaque stockings. Short black heels. Your husband kisses you in the neck, whispering he's proud of you.
