post explant skin issues? anyone deal with something similar?

my skin has never acted this way. it feels bumpy and dry and was flaking. it’s raised especially near lower face. i’ve been doing my normal skincare routine, ive even been using my retinoids very sparingly since surgery. could this be a medication side effect? i was prescribed antibiotics, percocet, and promethazine. i just finished the antibiotics and use the other medications as needed, which isn’t super often. i’m 4 days out. i always have super smooth skin, thankfully. so this is just really confusing me. 😭

botched BA -> 12 hours post explant

I got my breast augmentation at 18 years old, under the muscle, with 330cc implants. I’m now 25 years old. I’m a bit sore and in pain, but hopefully it subsides soon. For those of you who have had explants, how long did it take until you felt normal-ish again, especially if your implants were under the muscle?
I knew my surgery was botched immediately afterward, but I’m a transgender woman, and at 18 I was just happy to finally have bigger breasts. Every year since then, they seemed to get worse. I’m now 10 years on HRT, and my breast tissue has continued to grow. Before surgery, I was barely an A cup at around 3 years on HRT. Now I’d say I’m probably a small B cup? I’m not entirely sure yet, but I’m just so pleased I finally pulled the trigger and got the explant. I feel so much more comfortable in my body.
I also had animation deformities, which were very dysphoric for me. I just can’t believe how much better they look immediately after! I didn’t have the capsule removed, get a lift, or have anything else done. The cost was just under $4,000 USD, but I have a good relationship with my doctor and his family, so I think I got a bit of a discount… or maybe he just felt bad for botching me, lol.
He’s actually a really good surgeon, but I was his first transgender breast augmentation patient. I live in a small town in the South, so there aren’t many people like me. I think the mistake was that, since I’m biologically male, my pectoral muscles are much stronger than those of a biological woman, so going under the muscle was just the wrong choice.
Ask me any questions, I’d love to answer them! And let me know what you guys think as well.

had my explant today! how long did you keep your compression bra on?

I had my explant surgery this morning, and I am feeling really good so far! I will update with pictures soon & post my experience. I was wondering how long did you keep your compression garment on for? I completely forgot what they said to me after surgery but I believe it was 1-2 weeks. Just wondering how long did you keep yours on for? I have a post op appointment in 2 weeks but just curious about other peoples experiences. I believe I read there are benefit of keeping it on longer. Thank you!
