A really cool piece of history from former socialist Yugoslavia. A heavy barbiturate inside a music box. I guess the music was supposed to add to the hypnotic effect LOL. Each pill was 150 mg. Heavy stuff. This was manufactured in Sarajevo (today's Bosnia). I had an opportunity to talk with an old junkie who's been on smack and other stuff since mid-late 80s. He said that Speda was the god of downers. His 2nd favorite was Vesparax. He said that Vesparax had equally euphoric initial rush but it made him feel crappy afterwards (I guess he didn't like the hydroxyzine part). But Speda was just perfect. He didn't have an opportunity to try Motolon (methaqualone) to make a comparison because that one got discontinued before his drug days.
