Reality is not given as immediate fullness but as delimited, operationalized void:
every form arises from the handling of a non-integrable excess that must be cut, bordered, incorporated, measured, touched, narrated, or formalized without ever being fully saturated;
food reveals this at the biological-symbolic level, since living means assimilating a portion of the world already organized by technique, norm, market, memory, and desire, while the “free-from” logic is its ideological reversal, an overproduced absence promising innocent incorporation, matter without genealogy, and the conversion of fear, guilt, and contamination into the surplus-value of purity;
limit shows the same structure in physical knowledge, not as a barrier to being but as the discipline of access to the real, the procedural conditions, invariants, coincidences, attribution criteria, and evidential constraints through which something can count as objective, from relativistic simultaneity to quantum contextuality and cosmological horizons;
touch radicalizes limit ontologically, because the threshold does not separate already constituted entities but co-produces them within a preindividual field of pressures, flesh, folds, memories, wounds, and reciprocities, where body/world, inside/outside, self/other emerge as provisional stabilizations of contact;
void names the general matrix of this operativity, from the subject born as a cut in jouissance and as symbolic lack, to the system that passes through saturation, collapse, trace, and reindexing, up to mathematics itself, which functions precisely because it is not totally self-founded but inhabited by axioms, leaps, incompletenesses, and maneuverability;
therefore there is no form despite the void, but form because the void remains open, and no reality as full thinghood, but reality as a network of active thresholds through which alterity, limit, incorporation, collapse, and symbolization provisionally produce what we call body, subject, object, proof, desire, and world.
