1:30 to 15:00 minute sketching IRL, at my life drawing class. Last week I practiced "line gauge" which just means evenly spaced parallel lines.

Ballpoint is a fast medium.... Until you want to add tone, and then it is slow AF 😁
Fast sketches IRL poses between 2 and 5 minutes
I try to draw (at least) twice per week. Here are some ballpoint studies. In each session, for one drawing i try to go chaotic, i.e. no structure line gauge, just scribble. Often it just doesn't work. It adds way too much noise to the form and tone. But. When it does work, it's cool. (this week is was just noise :D )
Phew, them marathons hit different 🥵 I try to do one or two a year. It is the best way for me to learn one medium, just an intense concentration of learning time.
Here are a few I like. 🥳
(I burnt through an entire drawing pad, in one sitting)
I will add model details if I can get them
Is anyone participating in the Judith Yawls drawing marathon this weekend? (If you don't know search insta judthyaws) 8 hours with 8 models.
My drawings from Tuesday. All pen sketches, white one is using white gell, and the last one has marker to add tone. These are between 2 and 15 minute poses.
this is an old one, when i first started playing the the white on black process.
A selection of artwork by different artists that visited this week. A range of skills from starters to veterans, and some news faces with interning ideas.
