Being wary of group chats for vouching when buying online
To state first and for most, I am aware this is very risky and 99% of the time it is a scam, however this situation is a bit different as everything seems “legit” but I still have reservations. I found a guy on Reddit (yes I know this is already reg flag) who gave me this guys signal. I spoke with the guy and he added me to a a gc with around 30 people. No one really speaks on the gc, however when I asked for a review everyone responded around the same time just giving general feedback. However everything was quite positive “Haven’t had the mdma, but everything else. Top quality, wouldn’t go elsewhere” “It is all legit and top quality. No need to worry”, I have messaged some users directly and some talk very enthusiastically, one guy was just talking me through the process, and was sending me pictures of the product, and they seemed legit. I was a bit skeptical because everyone responded in the same 5 minute time period all quite positive, and then some of the users seemed a bit enthusiastic, so I started to question if they were all bots. However, there was some actual conservation. A couple had profile pictures, but I am still being wary. He wants to transfer via PayPal, I asked if I could use the G&S to cover me, he said he didn’t want to use that as he will be taxed and I can claim I never received it. I said he could provide proof of postage and it would then cover him but he said realistically yes however the doesn’t want to that given it has drugs in it. Was just wondering if anyone can give any hints that would say this gc is bot and this guy is a scammer, I’m 50/50 because when talking he seems genuine, but it’s just the similar tone of certain people that put me off.
