Trivandrum broke my friend's ❤️

My friend proposed to a girl about a year ago, but she rejected him. However, they continued talking regularly, and he became deeply emotionally attached to her. Even though he knew she didn’t have romantic feelings for him, he started seeing her as his whole world. From his perspective, the bond meant much more than it did to her.

After a year, he proposed to her again, hoping that her feelings might have changed, but she rejected him again. He broke down in front of her, and they eventually decided to end their bond completely. He is now struggling badly to move on. He thinks about her constantly and often breaks down crying.

What makes it harder for him is that she has received proposals from several boys in her friend circle and at the office, but she has always said that she isn’t ready for a relationship while continuing to maintain friendships with all of them. Because she remained close to him despite rejecting him, he interpreted their friendship differently and eventually confessed his feelings again, only to get heartbroken once more.

I genuinely feel sorry for him because he became deeply attached to someone who never felt the same way. I don’t know how to console him or help him move on.

Unspoken Jealousy during UST onam celebration

Onam celebrations filled our UST office with traditional clothes, music, and photos. I was wearing a mundu, while my girlfriend looked stunning in her Kerala saree.

While she was taking pictures with her teammates, one of the guys came up behind her and playfully pinched her waist. She turned around, saw him, and smiled. A moment later, he pulled her closer by the waist for a selfie, his hand resting against her bare waist.

They kept taking pictures together, standing very close and laughing. He even asked another friend to photograph them while keeping his arm around her waist. She seemed completely comfortable with him.

I stood there watching, burning with jealousy.

Later, I saw them walking together to the cafeteria for lunch, still laughing and talking. I wanted to tell my girlfriend how uncomfortable I felt seeing another guy touch her so casually, but I kept everything inside.

That Onam celebration became less about the festival and more about the jealousy I couldn't admit to her.

Affair with a married senior

I had been admiring her for months—a married, attractive senior from my department who always seemed to draw attention whenever she walked into the office.

Eventually, I ended up working on the same project as her. What started as casual conversations on MS teams gradually turned into whatsApp chats and then regular phone calls. About six months passed and we became close friends. She would often go out with me to restaurants, movies, and resto-bars. She was comfortable with my physical touches, flirtatious talks and dirty chats.

One evening, I took her to a resto-bar. We both had a few drinks and danced together. At some point, her dress exposed slightly and I saw her bra strap and I found myself increasingly attracted to her. She was tipsy and feeling unreal seeing her sultry side, I became more confident enough to hold her waist and dance. My hands were all over her body. Things escalated that night and we ended up having sex.

Afterward, we had no contact for a few days. However, since we were on the same team, we eventually met again and our physical relationship resumed. The affair continued for more than ten months.

Later, I switched my job and moved away from Trivandrum and joined another company. We are not in touch. I recently heard that she now has two daughters. I sincerely hope she is happy and doing well in life.
