Also jfc maybe the story isn’t good if you have to ignore a decent chunk of its set up and main premise to even be digestible for some readers like omfg the rape is so graphic and violent that it sometimes didn’t even feel sexualized for the horny audience

His “redemption” arc is just him realizing that raping MC was bad. Ofc saying “I’m sorry for raping you and coercing you into sex using your debt as an excuse” doesn’t work so helping find his lost little brother and saving him from kidnapping is supposed to forgive and erase the fact that he raped the MC.

And don’t you dare come at me with that “umm actually Euihyun was the one who came crawling back to him” jfc that doesn’t mean Taeju is magically without fault or that Euihyun suddenly never got raped. It’s just poor writing on the Author’s part because Euihyun who has been so combative and intolerant of Taeju and his treatment of him suddenly clings and forgives him. Good grief we don’t need an ending where they got together at the end. At least exlpore Euihyun’s mindset and mentality when making his decision to cling to Taeju like his guilt, his attachment, his Stockholm syndrome, seeing Taeju as the “one right thing” because his standards are so atrociously low that Taeju’s mild brief “kindness” was a godsend for home enough to cling THIS HARD.

But it’s all offscreen and we’re just supposed to assume that ALL OF Taeju’s treatment post-beach double suicide attempt got him not to want to kill himself anymore???
