We'd both worked at the same company for a while now. Both middle management, just in different teams. We'd work together from time to time, but for the most part our relationship was that of friends, not colleagues. We would spend our days chatting in Slack, bitching about people in the office, gossiping, our weekends, etc. Have lunch together a few times a week - in general, just a workplace friend that made the job a little more bearable.
I would be lying if I hadn't thought of you in that way before, but I consider myself a professional, and had therefore kept those thoughts to myself. I certainly find you attractive, though (who wouldn't), and those thoughts I'd kept to myself had on occasion kept me company at night.
