How this fetish helped boost my confidence
I’ve posted a lot about my hair journey on here and one thing I wanted to share was how my fetish helped me become more confident and empowered. Accepting my fetish as normal was the first step and took a huge weight off my shoulders, but my confidence greatly improved once started getting different styles on my list. If I didn’t have my fetish I never would have gotten a crew cut, dyed my hair blonde, or even considered getting a flattop (which I’m still very much obsessed with). It was after I got my flattop that I felt both more confident and empowered. The sharpness of it and how the gel and pomade I use maintain its shape throughout the day really boosted my mood. I love my hair, but when I had curls or the crew cut, it always got messed up by the end of the day or a week or two later, and I just felt ugly when I looked in the mirror. Maintaining my flattop helped me practice more self-care on a daily basis and the biweekly trims only reinforced it. I spend more time in the mirror appreciating how handsome I am rather than nitpick anything that’s “unattractive”.
Something I wish I saw more often is young guys taking care of themselves. Not the unhealthy looksmaxxing thing, but keeping themselves clean and their hair maintained. Regardless of length, just making sure it’s trimmed regularly and not greasy or dirty. It’s one reason why I wish flattops were more common because it requires you to take care of yourself more often, and you understand you deserve to look clean and sharp because you have value. Really, any hairstyle (long or short) that requires regular maintenance and styling is something men should get. It’ll benefit them more than they realize. Haircuts aren’t just a fetish for me, they’re also therapeutic and help me get through life when it weighs me down. I love how this fetish is also a source of empowerment.
Has your fetish helped boost your confidence or make you see your value? I’d like to hear your stories in the comments :)
