After being on this subreddit for years I thought I'd share my long time experience.
Long story short, if you are a guy looking for a female hypnotist here just stop. Save yourself the trouble. They don't exist here. You genuinely have better chances of winning the lottery. If you really want to find one, you will literally have a much better chance going on YouTube or other websites, finding content you like, and supporting them long term.
I'm going to share my experience of the final experience that completely broke me on using the subreddit to ever find something real. I share this as a cautionary tale.
A week ago, I finally found a female hypnotist that wasn't a scammer pretending to be one, a real one, and it seemed like we hit it off well with a lot in common. In their post they claimed to be in Minneapolis, MN which is pretty near me and easy to meet up. They claimed they were looking for something long term and real, and eventually move to IRL.
Then comes the catch, they asked for a $150 commitment fee. Told me it's only a one time fee. Even had a consent form to sign stating no more payments later. After 3 years of waiting to find a real person, I thought I'd risk it.
We did talk a lot, but when it came time for the session that she pushed (I would've been fine getting to know each other better for a while first) she suddenly asked for $190 more in fees. It was 3 different payments, I ended up declining the last payment when I realized I got scammed. But got scammed a total of $280.
The kicker is that this person is completely real, trained hypnotist, with a history. She had reached out to me on a burner account u/ohni_slav, but linked to her real disc account kayla.bi_27588, I was able to trace this to her main reddit account u/taters4tayley
From her post history it seems like she gave up on being legit just a month or two ago, started making burner accounts and posting here for suckers. Why not? Seems more profitable if she's invested so much time in this hobby, it makes perfect financial sense if you have no morals.
I've just come to the realization that hypnotists power dynamic is way too imbalanced to ever find anything genuine and avoid scams being everywhere in any hypno community. Even the real hypnotists, eventually turn to scamming people because it's so incentivizing.
I genuinely love hypnosis and I know there's good people in the community. I'm just specifically giving up on this subreddit and contemplating giving up on my goal to find a partner to share this passion with
With the very little moderating being done here recently, I think it's a good time to leave. If anyone wants more details feel free to message me I have all the screenshots, and I would love more information on if I can recover my money at all or try to trace her information more to expose her, so I can make more people aware. I know the chances are probably 0 so I'm not holding out on any hope on that stuff. Just want to spread awareness and hopefully help other guys like me not fall into similar traps. Just get out and don't waste your time here.
That being said, this is a great place to find male hypnotists, one off sessions, and male subs. Anything beyond that, go elsewhere. And never ever send money, I learned that the hard way. I don't care if one time fees used to be normalized, there are too many scammers and even some legit tists have turned to scamming so theyve ruined it for everyone.
EDIT: I talked to them a little longer and managed to grab their IP address, anyone know what I can do with it? Lmao
