Experiencing insanely high sensitivity/pain on the head of penis for the past month. Slowly ruining my life…

For over a month now I have been dealing with a large area on the head of my penis that is highly sensitive and borderline painful when it comes into contact with 99% of things.

I have had a few friction burns on the head in the past and originally thought that this was just another one of those. Usually takes about 2 weeks for one of those burns to usually make a full recovery. But this time there was no reddish/scabby area that was indicative of a friction burn. All that I’ve witnessed as any visibly difference in change is a large portion of the head of my penis skin now being a much lighter tone than the rest of the head. This lighter tone area also comes across as more “shiny” than the surrounding normal area of skin.

Ever since this started it has taken a crazy mental + physical toll on my mind and my body. I have to wear a specific type of polyester boxer brief now. It is the only material that when it rubs across the head of my penis I don’t wretch in uncomfortableness/pain. I have to wear every pair or shorts/pants shifted to the side so those “bulky” parts of the material don’t come into any contact with the head of my penis. I have to now abstain from things I like doing like biking, hiking etc due to the sensitivity and pain that occurs when I’m moving around. I know certain movements that I will do will rub against it in a certain way and cause this horrible feeling. Don’t even get me started on the effects of my sex life because now I can’t do anything with my girlfriend for the past month.

It’s terrible. I haven’t changed soaps at all, haven’t started a new way of masturbating, or any new way of sex to trigger this. No new laundry detergent, nothing I can see that changed to cause this. I have a dermatology appointment in a week and hopefully they can come to a conclusion on what I’m dealing with and how to solve the problem.

Has anyone ever experienced something like this happen to them? If so, what did you do to treat it? Starting to become seriously worried that I may have nerve damage or something since it hasn’t gotten any better.

I attached a picture incase anyone might see that they dealt with the same thing.
