How to get to San O trail 6

I am seeing a lot of people ask, and getting a lot of messages about how to get there exactly. I’ll lay this out as simple as possible.

Use this address to get you as close as I’ve seen for an available address

5000 Old Pacific Hwy
San Clemente, CA 92674
United States

This is the nuclear power plant so obviously don’t go there. Continue driving down “Old Pacific Highway” until you come to the guard shack. You’re now entering into the state beach.

Pay for parking then head in. Continue to head south. You’ll pass multiple campgrounds, restrooms and trails 1-5. Before the road comes to an end, you’ll see one last restroom. That’s the start of Trail 6. Park in a non assigned spot and head down the trail to the beach. Once you get to the bottom, you’ll see a life guard tower. Head south (left). You’ll walk roughly a mile I’d guess and come up to the fence. You’re now entering into the marine base. Enter at your own risk.

Be respectful, ask permission, don’t be a creep, don’t make women/couples uncomfortable and always remember no means NO!
