I am a big girl with a hanging belly, love handles, and thick thighs, and honestly the idea of a prison strip search scares me so much.

Being completely naked in front of guards would already be terrifying. Then having to squat, cough, and jump around? I keep thinking, what if I accidentally fart from pure nerves while I’m doing it? 😭

And I know this sounds silly, but I’d also be so self-conscious about how much everything would jiggle and bounce when I had to jump. I’d probably be worrying about my stomach, thighs, rolls… literally everything instead of being able to think straight.

I also worry about the whole situation getting worse if the cops are rough, shouting at you, or physically punishing you for not doing something quickly enough. That would make the humiliation and panic so much worse.

I know people of all body types go through this, so I’m curious — do other bigger girls have the same anxiety? And guys too, if you’ve actually experienced a strip search, what was it really like?

Being a fat girl, I get chills whenever I hear about prison strip searches.

And then there's me standing there with all my big assets on full display, wondering where exactly I'm supposed to look.

The squatting part honestly sounds less scary than the embarrassment.
