I found the BEST inhaler that can stand up for the sock method!
After using poppers for years, I finally tried the sock method a few weeks ago. It was intense, but I was ultimately disappointed by how quickly it dissipated and how inconsistent the hits were. Sometimes it was way too strong, and other times not strong enough. Plus, it wasted so much product that one dab wouldn't last more than one session.
I figured some sort of personal inhaler device would work better. While searching on Amazon, I found a few metal aromatherapy inhalers. One reviewer mentioned using it for "Rush aroma," which confirmed my suspicion. I tried looking for a cheaper alternative on AliExpress but couldn't find anything similar, so these are likely as cheap as they get.
Note that there are plenty of cheaper glass-enclosed inhalers out there, but those don't allow for proper airflow, so they won't work well (which a few Amazon reviews also pointed out).
The two main options I found are basically identical:
- OiwMuOck Metal Nasal inhalers (2-pack for $16.99)
- Clean Head Aromatherapy Inhaler ($18.99)
The only real difference is that one has a hole for a necklace or chain, and the other doesn’t but much cheaper. They use an internal cotton wick to soak up the liquid, and the chamber is sealed with silicone O-rings to prevent leakage. A single soak lasts for a few days. While I haven't noticed any leaks yet, I still keep mine in a small Ziploc bag just in case.
Why it beats other methods:
- Easy to carry and leak-proof
- Intense, fast hits on-demand
- Affordable price
- No waste
- Personally, this works so much better than the "pig snout" attachments, which are more expensive and perform significantly worse.
