I’ve been eyeing this model for a while because I genuinely love that maker’s usual pours.
After sending a moodboard and a clear Color sketch of my idea the maker gave me a positive reply and we were all set. However, when the toy shipped, I got an email saying they adjusted the colors to keep the piece more translucent and that my toy was flawed and I’d receive a 10% refund on delivery. They claim “minor imperfections” were common for this model (Which was NOT stated on the model’s page by the way).

The toy was supposed to be dark purple with a fade to a lighter, translucent colour. They claimed they did the base a “relatively dark purple” but it’s literally as light as the Color I wanted the tips to fade into.

The issue is: this was only communicated after it had already been shipped. I wasn’t given a chance to approve the changes or discuss anything.
Now that it’s arrived, I’m honestly pretty disappointed. The colors are much lighter and less saturated than I wanted, the overall look doesn’t match the vibe I was looking for, and there are visible imperfections (including small holes near the tip) that don’t feel “minor” to me at all.

I was hoping for something I’d actually be excited to add to my collection.
So 10% refund doesn’t really solve the issue for me, since I’m still left with a piece I don’t find pretty or feel proud displaying.

Honestly the best solution would be a repour with the correct colors, but I really don’t wanna make a fuss. Still feels very frustrating dropping 200 bucks on a toy you just don’t love..

Would be very curious to hear what you’d do in this situation?
