edit: we didn't interact aside from what i describe above but i wish we would have lol. i lived there for about a yr. our apartment doors faced eachother basically so he'd be able to actively look out his peephole like, into the hallway at me/my apartment door. he was very reclusive and often at home- I worked from home at the time so we'd probably always be right next to eachother more or less.
