My first cayenne peppers are starting to turn red. I don't have a lot yet, so I have no idea what to do with them.
On an unrelated note, there's a bunch of woodpeckers standing on a tree limb nearby, making sounds like somebody washing a window. Shit is weird.
The good: I cleaned the dust out of all the fans in the house, including a complete tear-down and rebuild of my desk fan from 2000. The thing actually runs quieter now lol. I watered the plants before it got too hot to go outside.
The bad: After seeing one single Reddit comment about someone cleaning their fan this morning, I was "inspired".
The ugly: There's an ant walking around inside my TV right now and I can't get it out. It seems to like light, so I've got the TV off and have a lamp pointed straight down the air vents in the back of the TV. If it finds its way out I'll wipe it all down so new ones don't follow it.
My eyes are darting around like I drank too much coffee. My hands are unusually steady when I hold something. My temperature is actually up to 98.
I haven't taken any medicine and I'm not on any other kind of medicine. I haven't done anything unusual besides eat leftover pizza for breakfast, and hit that painful spot on my shoulder (it stopped right after that).
I picked some green tomatoes because the stems were being weighed down by them. Yeah that's right. Today my lobster's TOO GOT DAMN BUTTERY.
Whatever is up, I don't deserve it. I'm grateful to the universe because this is the best I've felt in literal months.
I checked under the tomato leaves for ten minutes to find this asshole.
I only took pictures of two tomatoes the day I did the hot pepper. Everything is covered in Sevin dust today so not that pretty.
It was under my trash can when I went outside to change the water in my birdbath. I had to move the can to get to the faucet.
I covered its hiding spot back up after I took the picture, critter is safe.

Today, my mom remembered she could pull the SD card from her camera and plug it into the computer. Muscle memory from using floppy disks. Hell yeah!
She started pulling pictures off it but didn't recognize that she could move them all at once.
The GUI looks a little different. It's got check boxes for some reason, and that tripped her up. She wanted to shift+click to select them, but that didn't work on the check boxes. "Ma did you click the filename?" She does. "Oh. Oh! Okay, that did it."
Graduation photos, grandbaby photos, her mom and dad's pics, straight into a folder. They moved the copy and paste buttons to the bottom and had some AI assistant bullshit in the spot she wanted to click in a right-click menu. Other than that, all good.
I'm taking a break right now. Found a tiny spooder that I think is using me as a hunting ground. It's been 10 minutes.
