I was in B by 27Shaw yesterday for the opening, and here are some of my thoughts.
It’s a 4-storey building. I honestly thought this would be the biggest branch, but T by 27Shaw is still much bigger in terms of overall space.
T < B < Shaw
1st Floor – Reception, locker room, and wet area. The wet area has 8 shower stalls with frosted glass and door locks (finally no curtains), a small hot pool, sauna, and a combined steam room/labyrinth area with 2 additional showers.
The layout feels a bit cramped. Pagpasok mo, reception agad for booking, then bibigyan ka na ng towel, then locker area, then derecho na sa toilet/washroom. Medyo dikit-dikit yung setup.
2nd Floor – A very nice waiting lounge with free cookies and lemonade/calamansi tea.
3rd Floor – Massage rooms with very strong air-conditioning.
4th Floor – The BARe. Nice addition honestly. Affordable drinks, good atmosphere, and there’s also an outdoor area where you can sit and chill. Cashless only.
Impressions:
The wet area feels cramped, especially during peak hours. Sobrang packed kagabi and people were literally side by side. Very noticeable if galing ka sa T by 27Shaw. But to be fair, I think they utilized the limited space as much as possible.
Minus Points:
The large steam room had no steam lol. I think hindi pa fully working yung steam system kaya medyo walang ganap kagabi.
The locker room and toilet/washroom area don’t have proper separation, so the locker area floor gets wet easily. May smell din minsan because of the setup.
The 8 shower stalls aren’t enough kapag maraming tao. Nagkakaroon ng pila, and one stall only had hot water working.
The labyrinth/steam area is too dark, and the 2 shower stalls there are not enough for the crowd.
During our massage, attendants didn’t call us from the waiting area, so medyo magulo.

Positives:
The place looks beautiful and very Instagrammable.
The bar is a great addition. People can socialize more, and the outdoor area has a lot of potential.
The waiting lounge is tastefully designed, though it can also get cramped.
Service from the staff and therapists still has that signature 27Shaw quality.
Walang screening or discrimination unlike R Wellness.
Crowd:
Very mixed crowd. Siguro around 30% borta/face card, then halo-halo na from average to chubs. Mas wild ang crowd sa Urus.
Price: Nagmahal ng 100 pesos ang massage service.
Verdict:
For the limited space they had to work with, I think 27Shaw did a good job. Most of the negatives feel like opening-week issues or birthing pains since kakabukas pa lang.
With their arrival, I think B by 27Shaw will definitely shake up the Makati gay spa scene. Hoping they succeed like their other branches and eventually become the top spa in Makati.
