Cycle Update #5 - Slow and Steady

What's up revolutionaries? We have a new update for you!

Our third scene is officially completed, and what better way to celebrate than with another devlog?

Only fifteen left to go! Well... maybe it's better not to think about that number too much. But hey, everything is coming together step by step!

We've also acquired the second track for the game soundtrack. It’s made by the same artist behind the first one since we wanted to maintain voice consistency across the story. This song is especially important to us as it plays during a pivotal scene, and we can’t wait for y'all to hear it.

On top of that, we're currently editing the first draft of the official trailer and planning everything it needs. We'll share more details when the time comes!

Recently, we sent our current build to a tester for some fresh feedback. We listened carefully to the notes and got straight to work on improvements.

One major tweak is related to the longer render sequences. Since the game features extended visual sequences without dialogue, we realized this could feel a bit tedious for players who prefer a faster pace. So, we built a solution: an automatic sequence skip after a set number of seconds!

But don't worry, if you prefer taking it slow, soaking in the views, or analyzing every detail, you can still do that. We’ve added a dedicated toggle setting to turn auto-skip of them ON or OFF.

Now you might be thinking: "Doesn't Ren'Py already have a auto-skip function already?" You're right, but the built-in option skips dialogue too. Constantly toggling it on and off just to skip render sequences without accidentally missing story lines is a pain. With the new feature, you can automatically skip only the visual render sequences while leaving the dialogues completely untouched!

With that said, we hope you enjoy your cycle. And remember, if you want to follow our development progress, see exclusive in-game previews before release, or just chat with us, make sure to join our Discord Server!
