Caves Beach to Budgewoi Coastal Trail: draft master plan consultantation

I just happened across this today and haven't seen any mention of it in this sub or other Birdie Beach groups that I am aware of. The consultation period ends 17 July.

https://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/topics/parks-reserves-and-protected-areas/park-management/community-engagement/walking-tracks-and-trails-in-national-parks/caves-beach-budgewoi-coastal-trail

There is about planned developments for Birdie Beach, particularly the carpark and amenities (and Freemans Campground), and a number of mentions of addressing antisocial and inappropriate behaviour.

At no point however, is there any mention of changing or maintaining the beach as clothing optional. And with suggested "wow moments" (page 49) overlooking the beach on the Geebung Trail, I do have concern that this might be something that is at risk.

In addition to submissions online, email and by post, there are two more drop-in sessions to have your voice heard. One tomorrow afternoon (Friday, 3 July) at Halekulani Community Hall, Budgewoi from 15:00 to 17:00 and the last one at Frazer Beach from 10:00 to 14:00 on Thursday, 9 July.

We Used To Love This Place

It has been a couple of years since we have been to Birdie, we miss it a lot.

MS has robbed me of my ability to get on and off the beach, we have to to go to Samurai in the 4WD to be able to nude up on the sand.

But, lots of fond memories over many years. Hope you all enjoy the beautiful beach nowadays.
