Biweek Experience
My husband and I just got back from our very first Bi-napple Week at Hedo, and I honestly do not even know where to begin. What an incredible experience.
We had the most amazing time and now completely understand why so many people say Hedo is such a special place. From the moment we arrived, everyone was so warm, welcoming, and accepting. We met so many wonderful people and shared some very sexy and unforgettable experiences.
More than anything, I left feeling like we had found a community of open-minded, kind, and genuinely fun people. There was absolutely no judgment, just a lot of positive energy and a sense that everyone was there to enjoy themselves and be their authentic selves.
Our only small disappointment was the music, specifically DJ Ronnie.
I was so excited for the foam party because I had heard on podcasts and read so many posts about how wild, sexy, and fun it is. Unfortunately, the music just did not create that vibe for us. It was mostly heavy old-school techno, and while I know some people love that style of music, it did not seem to get the crowd dancing or feeling playful.
There was no hip hop, no sexy dance music, and nothing that really encouraged that flirty, high-energy atmosphere we were expecting. Even the staff members who were trying to get the party going seemed to have a hard time getting people engaged.
The same thing happened during Casino Night. The music felt more like "The Super Sounds of the '70s" than something that would get people out on the dance floor and having fun.
I completely understand that Bi-napple attracts a wonderfully diverse crowd and everyone has different tastes in music. My comment is not really about the genre itself. It just felt like the DJ was not reading the room and adjusting to what would get people dancing, partying, and feeling sexy and playful.
That said, this was truly a very minor issue in what was otherwise an absolutely fabulous trip. The Hedo staff DJs seemed to do a fantastic job. It was only this guest DJ that felt a little out of sync with the energy of the week.
So I am curious for those of you who are Bi-napple veterans or Tomβs Trip veterans, Is DJ Ronnie there for every Bi Week, or do they rotate guest DJs?
We are already talking about when we can come back. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, and we cannot wait to return.
