I was listening to a podcast this week and a guest talked about the fact that humans have been around doing the same things for 200 thousand years, only back in the earliest days, they had no way to really document thoughts and desires.  

We keep hearing about the rising popularity of this lifestyle but certainly, any of us over fifty know that this is nothing new, it’s just that news spreads faster on the Internet.  In the same way my parents didn’t have digital cameras to create evidence of their sexual play, when my wife and I started, we didn’t have smartphones or the internet to learn that we weren’t alone.  

I’ve read a lot of the standard books, Sex at Dawn, Love Thy Neighbor, Insatiable Wives, etc., but I wonder if any of the smart people in this forum have ideas about just how prevalent the concept of hotwives, cuckolds, or just openly horny married people were, let’s say even in the 1700’s?

I’d love to know your thoughts.
