Hello! My wife and I were at pearl this summer, july 2026, and I wanted to share our experiences, focusing on the logistics, because we learned a lot from this community. We had an amazing time and will be back!

• We used USA transfers from the airport, no complaints there
• In the mornings, visit the towel stand and get your cabana or lounger for the day first thing, before doing anything else. We tipped them and got the same spot each day. That was our first stop even before breakfast
• The pool has a quiet side and spicy side, we preferred to have chairs / cabanas on the quiet side and swim over to the spicy side for the games. This allowed us a respite when we wanted.
• We had breakfast and lunch at the buffet-style restaurant which is on the lower level by the spicy pool. The best food there came from the griddle where they were making items on demand each day, like omelettes or quesadillas.
• We avoided the buffet for dinner and went to Pearl or Suki. Men need pants and women can wear anything at all.
• The flow of our days were:
  • Get cabana
  • breakfast
  • lay out, relax, read
  • swim over to the spicy pool around 11 when more people are out and about.
  • lunch when we got hungry
  • participate in the games at the spicy pool if we felt like it
  • Relax in the room around 5p
  • Dinner at 7ish
  • Relax in the room again
  • Evening music at 9p
  • Evening show at 10p
  • Dancing or Jacuzzi afterwards
• The weekends had more people than the weekdays
• Go out of your way to chat with everyone, we found interesting and unexpected conversations happened all the time
• Bring more sunscreen than you think
• Bring lots of Ones, Fives and Tens for tipping, more than you think, the staff is working HARD and does a great job
• Be careful fucking by the jacuuzi in the afternoon when the heat is at its maximum, I thought I might pass out
• Bring 2 insulated water bottles for each person, one big one for water and one small one for drinks
• We did the massage and it was wonderful!

Went to Pearl earlier this year and the sargassum was pretty awful.

We didn’t let it ruin our time, but I’d be lying if I said the constant smell didn’t detract from the experience to an extent.

Thinking of planning a trip for next year and wondering if Riviera Maya is any better in that regard. I know it can change year to year, I thought I read somewhere RM might have some better preventative measures in place.

Husband and I are considering a trip for a 4 day weekend in Dec we have open.

We’ve been talking about the idea of LS stuff for a couple years but never acted on it. Haven’t found the right friends. Specifically it’s me the F who wants to experiment with other women. We’d be down for an FFM or a soft swap with another couple as long as the other F is wanting some FF play along the way.

Curious if this vibe is at all common at a couples resort. Little worried we might only find people looking for a full swap and the other wife not being interested in me.

Is Desires right for us or should we be looking at Hedonism or others.

• Whether one location is better for first-time visitors
