‧˚ᡣ𐭩︵‿༻ Writing Sample༺‿︵ᡣ𐭩˚‧

This is just a little something I wrote just for a writing sample! I typically write this much or a little less and in this style as well!

Katherine sighed as she glanced away from the ceiling as it started to softly lighten up, a warning that the sun was starting to rise and that her alarm would scream at any moment. Sleep refused to come, yet another odd nightmares had woken her shaking and her mind too spooked to let itself fall back into that state for another nightmare to take over.

"Fuck this." Kat muttered as she rose from the bed with all the grace of a swan with its wings broken. If she wasn't going to sleep, then she could at least be productive... And by productive, that meant standing in the shower for the next twenty minutes until the hat water ran out. The news blaring as she listened to the crimes that waved over the city, ridiculous talk pieces and the stupidest latest trend that she would doubt that anyone participated in. Mornings like this were a blur for the small witch, none of the details really seemed to matter, she didn't need to commit to memory her morning routine or the route she had decided to take.

What mattered was looking at a familiar face on the autopsy table, one that Katherine had dealt with the Friday before and should have had at least an extra week of decaying before being found... or so she had hoped.

"Phoebe, who the hell is this? You walked off with the damn paperwork again." Kat sighed for the second time already, walking around the scene she already knew in detail, but played like she was looking inquisitive at the corpse. At least the flies had started to do some of the job, thankfully Kat was a lot smarter than to leave any identifying features or information, but this made for a grizzly sight this early in the morning.

"Kitty Kat! I forgot you worked today!" A perky, overly happy blonde elf poked her head up from a microscope. Phoebe looked like she belonged working at a boutique in the high end of town compared to the darkly dressed and moody Kat. The two were complete opposites, yet Katherine was fond of the ditsy elf. Mostly as she would never be able to figure out the thing that Katherine did when no one was looking.

"I work everyday.... Info, please and thank you." Kat looked over at her, leaning over slightly as she looked over the dead man on the table with a grin all to herself, carefully listening to Phoebe's footsteps. The early finding had to be a miscalculation, but at least that meant she got to admire the work up close and much fresher than she typically did. "Unfortunate soul, looks like he suffered."

"Right! Right! Poor little human, nothing much to go off of, unless you want to account for the fact that most of this was done while he was alive. Someone really didn't like him." Phoebe rambled, the sound of paper being fluttered through and stacked, a soft *brrrrr* and heels clacking made Katherine stand up straight. Her eyes were met with large perky breasts that almost matched the elf that owned them, no matter the amount of talking about appropriate work clothing, Phoebe could never find a way to contain her well endowed chest. Then again, elves always struggled with proper clothing, they weren't supposed to be in the working scene.

"No shit. Are you sure it was a human?" Kat asked like she didn't know the man on the table, she had to bite on her own tongue when she felt the tall elf come closer, finally handing her a clipboard with all the injuries categorized. "Damn, had the tips of his ears even cut to throw us off... Have you ever seen something like that?"

"You know, with all these random deaths, I wonder if we have a serial killer on our hands! Imagine that, Kitty Kat! Harmony City's first serial killer in thirty years! The department would have no idea where to even start!" Katherine looked away from Phoebe as much as she could, the smile on her face was wicked, unavoidable as she wished she could brag without the worry of being found. Hearing that had made her day, nothing could make the day better than hearing her kill be the talk of the station.

I was strolling through the forest, watching around for nearby Pokémon I hoped to catch. I was a decent length into my journey, having just completed my 5th badge. It was a beautiful autumn day at this point; the leaves were turning all kinds of shades from red to brown. Crunching beneath my sneakers as I walked along the beaten footpath that so many generations of trainers before me had paved.

I was scrolling through my Pokédex as I walked, checking the many creatures I had registered into its system when I accidentally unlocked a special mode for those researching Pokémon mating habits. Seeing information listed about several Pokémon as I clicked on Gardevoir and got a detailed description of their courtship. Then I came across an option to add my own... discoveries. The only option was to send videos, and it wasn't hard for me to know what videos they wanted.

I have a specific preference for Pokémon based plots where all Pokémon are as they appear in games, so a Gardevoir wouldn't have breasts and any Pokémon on all fours like Absol would be feral. If this isn't to your liking this isn't the plot for you.

I'm in the timezone Mountain/Pacific Standard Time. The reason I say it like that is because my state (Arizona) switches timezones at Daylight Savings Time and I have no idea which one I'm on currently.

It had been a long night. I'm working a deadend job, making less than minimum wage... all I've ever wished for is to have a different life. To be someone different, my body wasn't amazing, I was too tall for my own preferences so I've just tried not to think about it. Lost in thought though as I started to cross the street I noticed a pair of headlights, racing down the street...

When I woke up I wasn't where I was, I wasn't even in the street. I was on wood, with a shifting weight and wobbling surface. I then heard the sound of voices though they weren't a language I understood. By the time I opened my eyes I looked around, noticing I was different. I had soft, malleable skin, then I realised I was completely naked, then realising that I wasn't just naked, but female... I grew incredibly embarrassed and confused, trying to stand but a voice stops me. This time I understand. "Woah woah, calm yourself my dear, you should rest, I mean... there's no way you'll be alright after the fall you've had"
