request in title! I just love yuris about women who are just fucked up, ones that especially make you wonder if it’s going to be doomed or not.
“Love Thy Neighbor” is about a 24 year old college student and her 40 year old neighbor whose husband skipped town and abandoned her to his debt collectors. to protect her neighbor, Doyeon (the brown-haired woman) sneaks Jinju (the black-haired woman) and lets her stay with her for a while. the story has heavy themes of age gap, bdsm, exhibitionism, etc. but also trauma, abandonment, PTSD, and so much more. on top of all of that, the art style is just consistently phenomenal.
the only one I’ve read recently that has gotten kinda close is “Lady Black is Depressed,” but it looks like that one got dropped.
I would LOVE any recs that feel similar to this. I’m starving!
