On another platform, I saw where a boater turned in a woman sunbathing nude on her boat in Flamingo Cove. I had another person tell me he and his wife will skinny dip in Illinois. Reading the comments on the naked Flamingo woman post, many say to never take children to Flamingo or Illinois. That would make sense.

We’ve cruised through both looking for like minded people who don’t mind company.

Flamingo was a little harder of partying than we are used to. I guess we’ve gotten old.

Illinois was more our speed but everyone is separated staying to themselves and dressed.

Our problem is the awkwardness of rolling up on people. And even if we do, asking if they mind company. I definitely don’t want to pull up on people and just strip. I have a sensory issue and can’t stand wet clothes against my skin so I tuck in a cove and move if someone rolls up on us and drops anchor.

We did meet a nice couple in Flamingo one evening when there were only two boats in the cove. He was nude she was not but he quickly covered when I approached with a question about the cove.

In both coves we seen children. This is the DEFINITE no go with me. That was the problem with the Flamingo woman—the boater who turned her in had children swimming and she knew it.

Do people often get naked in those two heavily populated coves?
