I recently bought a inflatable latex ball and im wondering if im supposed to prep it in any way? It didnt come with any information and i really dont want to break it accidentally.

Wondering what anyone else would do in this situation. Long read

A few months ago, I contacted a well known, very good producing content creator for a custom. Discussed everything, added each other on snapchat for more direct communication, went over details for custom. The creator DID NOT send me an invoice/payment for the custom so I assumed it would be stated after it was made or right before she filmed it. This particular one, I sent the creator 10 Q24 balloons. The last of my collection in spectacular condition.

Creator was going on vacation to do filming. They sent me a snap with the package and that they were planning on doing it when they reached their destination. After about 4 days of no communication, they reached out and said they forgot them at home. Bummer, but no big deal, they'll do it when they get back. About a week goes by with no communication again. Then, the bad news. Turns out that my whole package was THROWN AWAY. Gone. Held onto them years for a special occasion just to hear they ended up in a landfill on the otherside of the country. I was absolutely gutted. The creator then after telling me the news, just stopped communicating, offered ZERO compensation and basically just went our separate ways and all I got was a "I'm so sorry". Didn't even want to look at any of their content anymore. Luckily I didn't pay for the custom yet so I got lucky there. I have since reached out asking if I could just be gifted a video of equal value to the q24s, but so far nothing.

What would you do?

This experience was the final nail in the coffin for customs or supporting a creator as this is not the first time I've been disappointed in custom content. Previously contacted a different creator to send the q24s to but they do not accept packages, but had their own. After agreeing to a price they came back the next day asking for more money, delivered the custom 4 weeks past the day they said it would be done, and didn't do part of what I wanted.(asked if they could go topless, they said yes, and never took off their shirt). The only creator I want to name drop right now, because she is the only one that gave am actual, good, connecting experience, was loonersuccubus/River. She was an absolute angel and am so glad she's making a soft return.

I understand sometimes things happen in life, they're just people to and make mistakes to, but when you're offering a service for paying customers, there's a bit of an expectation to uphold for good business practices, which this has not been.

UPDATE After a discussion with the creator, I was essentially told to pound sand. Basically said there was no actual formal agreement, no payment, and no expectation of actual liability or responsibility from her to replace them or compensate in this event, and that "with something like balloons, there isn’t really a guarantee attached to them in the first place. They have a shelf life, they can degrade or fail over time, and they’re not treated like durable goods that carry responsibility in the same way as something like a car or a manufactured part". Which is understandable, if she would have tried using them in the first place. But seeing as how I still have 1 q24 left from that collection that has been inflated nearly a dozen times and still has life, is just a poor excuse.

So now I'm out time, money for shipping, and rare items to never be obtained again and have a very negative experience with a seemingly very good creator. So after this conversation, she has been blocked, and I will never recommend her to anyone and hope that it doesn't happen to anyone else. I won't publicly blast them because no matter what situation, that's not right, but I'll reply to a dm so people can make their own judgment or risk with them.
