Took MDA last night assuming it was the same as MDMA, what a pleasant surprise
I’ve taken MDA a handful of times and always gotten light trails and what not, but what we had last night was a full on psychedelic experience I wasn’t expecting. Probably should have done more research, and was surprised by the hallucinations but also really enjoyed it and it might be my new favorite drug. I’m really curious about the trip itself—which I couldn’t find too much in detail on this thread. Everything was neon purple or orange. My partner and I kept seeing a neon purple web like structure and faces were distorted, sparkly, and neon colors. At some points, everything felt like a picasso painting but in the best way possible. The walls and ceilings had really interesting fluorescent and geometric leaf life patterns that appeared to be moving and dancing to the beat of the music. In hindsight, I think we probably took a higher dose than we realized because we assumed it was the same as mdma and we also were doing R ketamine, but despite the vivid hallucinations it felt very warm and not overwhelming any way what so ever. I’m just curious if the web like structure / purple hues is a normal experience or was it the ketamine that sort of enhanced it? Overall, would do again but would probably take a smaller dose and / or mix with mdma later in the night.
