🌸 Yuna: My First Doll — Part I: The Buying Journey

Hello everybody,

I recently released the first part of my new doll review series:

Yuna: My First Doll — A Detailed Review & Ownership Journey

I originally wanted to share the full review here as well, but it is simply too long for a Reddit post. I also do not really want to shorten it, because this is a more personal review, and cutting it down too much would remove a lot of what makes it meaningful.

This review is not meant to be only a quick “looks and usage” review. There are already many reviews like that, and they can be very useful, of course. But with this series, I wanted to do something a little different.

For me, buying a doll is not just about the final product. There is much more around it:

  • Why I even decided to buy a doll
  • How I chose the vendor
  • What the ordering process was like
  • How the waiting phase felt
  • Factory pictures and first reactions
  • Shipping, delivery, packaging, and unboxing
  • First impressions after finally receiving her
  • The practical reality behind such a purchase

So instead of only focusing on usage and looks, I wanted to document the full journey in a more personal but still structured and practical way.

Another reason I wanted to share this experience is because dolls are still a somewhat “forbidden” or stigmatized topic in our society. I would like to be more transparent about it and show that there is more to owning a doll than many people assume. My goal is not to convince anyone, but to provide an honest perspective and hopefully contribute to a bit more understanding and acceptance.

The review will be released as a three-part series:

Part I – The Buying Journey
This part focuses on why I bought a doll, the vendor experience, factory pictures, shipping, unboxing, first impressions, and Yuna’s full configuration.

Part II – A Closer Look at Yuna
This will be closer to a traditional review format, focusing on her looks, quality, material, texture, handling, and positions.

Part III – Living With a Doll & Final Verdict
This final part will focus more on the ownership side: clothing, cleaning, maintenance, storage, practical tips, comparison with regular toys, and my final conclusion.

A quick transparency note:

This is not an affiliate review.
Yuna was bought by myself, with my own money. I am not affiliated with the vendor or manufacturer, and there are no affiliate links connected to the Yuna review itself.

The review is hosted on my review blog. My blog does contain other reviews, and those are affiliate reviews with affiliate links, but this specific Yuna review is fully personal and not sponsored.

I also keep the review fully SFW in wording and presentation. The focus is on the buying experience, ownership, practical handling, and honest impressions.

If you are curious about the full buying journey, you can read Part I here:

I hope it is useful for anyone who is curious about dolls, thinking about buying one, or simply interested in what the full process can look like from order to arrival.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I will do my best to answer them honestly.

Thank you so much for checking my review out.
