first and foremost, thank you all for the birthday wishes. i had been making posts leading up to my birthday and had a surprising amount of people reach out wanting to spoil me, take me out, make my birthday special, etc. a lot of them talked a big game but when the time actually came around, almost nobody followed through :/

i only had one gentleman give me a gift, and honestly i appreciated the effort more than anything! it just made me realize how many people like the idea of doing something for someone... but don't actually mean it.

not posting this to complain, but i guess i'm just looking for more genuine people at this point. but oh well, i'm leaving in a few more days anyway. i have always valued the ones who are serious about meeting with me.
