Okay, How Do We Actually Talk About Testing?

Something I’ve been thinking about after a few conversations with people here…

I’ve noticed that STI testing can be a surprisingly awkward topic in sugar dating. Some people test regularly, some only test when they have a new partner, and some don’t really think about it unless they have symptoms.

I’ve even had someone tell me they’d never really considered testing because, in their mind, condoms were primarily about preventing pregnancy. That honestly made me realise how differently people approach sexual health.

And the tricky part isn’t always the test itself —** **it’s how you bring it up with someone you’re about to meet.

Do you simply ask, “When was your last STI test?”
Do you both get tested before becoming intimate?
Do you discuss testing when you first start talking, or only once things are getting more serious?

And secondly, how often do you actually get tested?
Curious how people in the sugar community handle this. No judgement — I’m genuinely interested in what’s considered normal for everyone here.

Scammer Alert u/right_card9408

She took the cash after verification and initially gave me a sob story about her rent being due. Once she received the money, she stopped replying. When I told her I was going to post about it in the sub, she finally responded.

I asked her either to return the GC or proceed with the deal as agreed. She said she needed some time, and I agreed.

Today, I randomly checked our chats and, lo and behold, she had blocked me on both Telegram and Reddit.
