As you can see the dermal on my left is lightly red and irritated looking at the top, they are five days old and i went though a lot of trauma getting them done
I’m just wondering if anyone else who has/had dermals had them look like this
Is it because they are new or are they rejecting/infected or just irritated
Ignore the hair around it, it isnt always like that i just didnt style it after my shower
ikkk it’s rejecting but ik some people wait for it to come out on its own and some will get it cut out.

clean it with saline solution
I exercise regularly and it sometimes gets knocked/bumped during exercise
Clothing can also sometimes rub against it
It’s been quite irritated and recently has had thicker yellow discharge coming from it… yuck.
Sometimes it comes good and then it gets all gross again :( underneath there seems to be a bit of irritated tissue but it was too difficult to get a clear shot. I know navel piercings have a super long healing process but I did think it would be pretty settled by now. I don’t know much about percings so advice and opinions would really help me :)
I got my belly button pierced on 8/1/26 and a few days later on the 4th I went to a different shop because I was worried it was pierced wrong. The guy told me it was indeed pierced incorrectly and would reject. It should’ve been a floating navel, instead the other guy pierced it too high up and with a large ball at the bottom pushing up into my skin. So I took it out that day on the 4th and it’s already closed up and can barely see the holes. My question is how long should I wait to go back and have him pierce it correctly? Any help is appreciated!
