Does having a long/mobile urethral plate affect ul?
So I am a way off of getting metoidioplasty but I was wondering. My dick is pretty untethered and mobile, there is about 6cm between my urethra meatus and the tip of my glans (when stretched). I know that often for ul, the surgeon has to cut the urethral plate and add extra material (buccal/labial/vaginal) so your urethra is extended and your dick can be "tubularized". But if you already have a long urethral plate, is this still necessary? Or can they make less cuts/modifications of the area and therefore have a much easier recovery?
Also, if anyone has reccomendations or links to videos showing the process of surgery (as in surgery actually being performed) that would be really helpful. I am trying to learn as much as possible for in the future, and also cause I find it really interesting. Thanks
