WARNING: The Erotic Review (TER) will change your rating with no recourse
This is partly a rant and partly a PSA for those of us who write reviews on theeroticreview (or used to, in my case). I recently wrote a glowing review of one of the top providers on TER and justifiably gave her a 10 for Performance. Anyone who reads the review or is familiar with her would completely understand my rating. It also met all the requirements for a 10 (baseline 7 + DFK + BBBJ + second provider/bisexual), which I respect and have always followed in the past.
When it was posted, the rating was reduced to a 9. I reached out to ask why, and the response was that I didn't explicitly call out two of those services. TER then reduced it even further to an 8, presumably out of spite. It now looks ridiculous sitting there in her list of reviews, almost all of which are 10s. I've asked several times for the ability to edit the review so I can explicitly call those things out and restore the correct rating—or simply delete it—to no response. I didn't explicitly use the acronyms BBBJ or DFK (although I did describe her kissing), primarily because I thought them unnecessary when reviewing someone of her caliber, and also because I find them unartful. I try to write reviews people find enjoyable to read, not just lists of acronyms.
So the lesson here is that TER will change your ratings without any recourse, no matter how ridiculous the resulting score looks. Think twice before writing a review, knowing it can be edited by someone with no knowledge of the encounter. Question whether the ratings you see were actually given by the client. And if you do write a review, make sure to spell things out so there's no doubt about what went down. My reviewing days are over because of this, unfortunately.
P.S. I posted this exact post on the TER forums, and had several people respond that the same thing happened to them. After a day, TER unsurprisingly deleted the thread. Afraid of a little transparency, I guess.
