Dose dependent Partial Agonist/Competitive Antagonist
This is just a theory based on anecdotal experiences. But I’m wondering if 7oh functions as a dose dependent agonist/antagonist because I recently took quite a long tolerance break. Like 45 days. I didn’t use any assistance like SR or supplementation. Just waited the 45 days. I initially decided to start with a low dose of about 4mg to gauge where my tolerance was. But 4mg didn’t have any effect. So I decided to jump to about 30mg that had no effect, 65mg that had no effect, I took about 85mg with some effect but mostly just major sedation.
Frustrated by the results of the tolerance break I decided to take a much smaller dose for pain. I thought “What’s the worst that can happen?” I took about 17mg and was rocked. Not like the old days when I first started. I would guess my tolerance is about 50-60% what it was. But it worked. Some itch, slight warmth. 17mg worked better than 30, 60, 80mg+.
For that reason I’m wondering if high doses of 7oh act as an antagonist. Has anyone inadvertently gave themselves precipitated withdrawal from high doses of 7oh? I’ve never experienced it because I’ve never become dependent on 7oh but high doses can definitely feel dysphoric. I wonder if that dysphoria is opioid antagonism.
