Hello, friend of u/Pie_Strict466. After checking his Reddit account (We chatted a fair bit here) and sending his post to his family - i thought i would provide an update as there was a lot of people asking (and sending their hope) in the replies. Thank you for all the kind comments.
Sadly he passed away shortly after due to a consistent violent seizure. I believe he didn't commit suicide, just made a very silly mistake. He was schizophrenic and would go on and off meds causing psychosis and would abuse drugs while in that state, he was not of sound mind when taking all of that.
To all the rude comments - Seriously? Hating on a dead person who did a stupid mistake while in fucking psychosis! He begged to get Sectioned (voluntary hospitalization) however they turned him away and away. The mental health services failed him, and i feel like i did aswell. I will carry this guilt with me forever and i'm not sure why i'm even making this post (maybe out of desperation). I knew about his drug use but never told anyone due to the stigma the substances he used carries. If you see a friend struggling, reach out even if they ask you not too. Substance addiction is a scary thing, you don't realize how deep you are in it until you're laying dead. I lost my friend of over 10 years within 1 hour. 1 stupid mistake is all it took.
Please please please stay safe when consuming drugs. Do your research. Don't do silly doses. Don't mix drugs. I hope this post helps someone in the future and helps the people who were asking get closure (Seriously, thank you, who knew strangers would be so kind and caring).
Rest easy buddy, to one of the most genuine caring person i've met. This guy would give you his last penny if you needed it and give you all the clothes on his back if you were freezing. He did not deserve this, especially in this way.
