Is anybody familiar with Morton’s Neuroma?

I started getting a random sharp pain while walking today in the ball of my foot sort of between my 4th toe and pinky toe metatarsals -- it felt like nerve pain, I've been taking it easy today but veryyyy nervous about reaggravating it/prolonging something that might go away in a few days. I wore a new pair of sandal heels two nights ago that run pretty tight and I might need to size up, but I think the extra compression on my toes/ball of foot might have pinched a nerve.

Anybody ever experience anything like this?? Any tips for care/prevention (other than new heels)? TIA!!
