I've been camping and hiking for a little over five years now and I can only say I wish I had started twenty years ago. I've never had a bad time even with the rainstorms, mosquitos and other hazards found along the way. I usually hit the woods several times a year ranging from Big Bend to the Appalachian trail: if the places between are your jam then we might be a good fit. Do you also enjoy campfires, snacks and starry nights? Step right this way!
My industry is quite hands-on in our work scope and my days are spent managing a team and training those who will one day take over while still rolling up my sleeves to get the hard work done. My politics are less classified as left leaning and more so as "eat the rich" while the last ten years have taught me to be more outspoken because polite, overly-tolerant society is partially responsible for this disaster currently underway. I'm a fit fatty and can do ten miles in the back country before breaking into my emergency stash of Reeses Peanut Butter Eggs. 5'8, 200lbs and all the mirth of a snickering fifth grader in sex ed class.
So let's get the important thing out of the way first: you need to be in a place in your life where you can get away without drawing much attention- a couple hours, an overnight or even a weekend away- your situation is the limiting factor here. Be thoughtful, communicative and maybe a little bit witchy. Curvy and confident enthusiasticly welcome. Let's keep up frequently with each other; a virtual finger on the pulse of the other. This space we're making will also thrive between the times we see each other.
Send a chat with your age and the last trail you went on and what you remember most about it. Nerd out a little bit even! I still double space after sentences. Bring your best.
